Night Diving in Koh Lipe – The Reef After Dark

When the sun goes down, the reef comes alive in a completely different way. Hunting lionfish, sleeping parrotfish, prowling crabs and shrimp, and — if you're lucky — the sparkle of bioluminescence in your torch beam. Our guided night dives in Koh Lipe are open to all certified divers, with torches provided and a sunset boat ride thrown in. Same reef, whole new world.

Divers relaxing on the boat rooftop at sunset on the way to the night dive

5:45 pm Set Sail at Sunset

We'll board our comfortable boat and head out as the sun dips toward the horizon — the boat ride at golden hour is an experience in itself, and one of the most beautiful moments of the day on Koh Lipe.

Diver descending with a torch beam beneath the boat as the light fades

6:30 pm Into the Dark

Torches on, we descend as the last light fades. Your guide will lead you over the reef in a small group, picking out hunting predators, sleeping fish tucked into the coral, and critters that only come out at night.

Your Dive Boat

Our dive boat is spacious, comfortable, and designed with divers in mind. It offers a smooth ride, space to gear up with ease, and a rooftop area to relax between dives. On a night dive it doubles as the best sunset spot on the island — and the comfiest place to warm up afterwards.
