Once you feel confident underwater, the next step is learning how to look out for others. The Rescue Diver Course is designed for trained divers who want to strengthen their awareness, improve their problem-solving skills, and be prepared to handle challenging situations with calm and control. You'll learn to prevent issues before they happen and respond effectively when someone needs help — turning you into a safer, more responsible buddy and a valuable diver in any team.
Prerequisites for this course: you need to have the Explorer or Advanced certification to enrol, and you need to hold valid First Aid and Oxygen Administration certifications. All prerequisite training can be completed with us, too.
Course only. Add the First Aid & O2 certification for 17,500 ฿ in total. Not included — Marine Park Fees (฿200 per diving day — ฿400 for this course) and mandatory dive insurance (70 THB).

You'll go through all of the chapters from the First Aid and O2 manuals. You'll learn how to perform CPR and how to safely provide oxygen, an essential life saving component related to diving injuries. You'll also learn how to use an AED device, another life saving device if someone's heart is beating ineffectively.
Time to keep going! You'll go through rescue scenarios and simulate saving someone's life and you'll also learn how to deal with everything from minor burns and scratches, to dehydration and hypothermia. After the class, you'll need to complete the homework in order to continue with the course the next day.
Today is the start of your Master Rescue course. You'll have a confined session where you'll learn all the skills to become a competent rescue diver. You'll practice rescue scenarios and some techniques and simulations to learn how to help effectively in different diving incident scenarios.
You'll work through sections Physiology, Physics and Rescue with your instructor. You'll discuss how to spot someone who's panicking, for example, and talk through all possible responses to a variety of problems. After that, you'll go through some homework about everything you've learned. Note: morning and afternoon sessions can be alternated depending on the situation.
This session deals with essential equipment required for a rescue, both on the boat and in the water. You'll learn the best way to search for a missing diver and essential knots you may be required to use.
Once on our boat, you will set up your equipment before sitting down with your Instructor and reviewing all the in-water rescue scenarios that you learned in the pool the previous day. This will include both surface and underwater responses. The first dive will be focused on ensuring you remember all of the necessary steps for each individual skill.
On this second dive we start to up the stress levels a little, to simulate more realistic conditions. It's important to remember that you are still learning, so little mistakes are bound to happen. But our seasoned Instructors are there to guide you through it, and ensure improvement across each dive.
We will review all the important theory to make sure you feel confident about it and then head to the beach, where your instructor will conduct a compass and search pattern workshop for you to have a dry run on it.
We will start by running underwater search patterns, so you can practice missing buddy search procedures. We will then move into realistic rescue scenarios.
On this final boat trip, we are looking for all your learning to come together. You will be in charge of delegating to those around you to help deal with any rescue possibility that comes your way, from man overboard, to unresponsive diver under the water. All of your training up to this point will have you ready. Once we have our 'victims' back on the boat our job isn't over. We need to be thinking about everything. Have we called EMS? Has somebody set up the O2? Can anybody around us offer any assistance? Or do we need to deal with this by ourselves? Our job as professional trainers, is to have you ready for every possible situation.
We'll head back to La Bombona where we'll complete our dive logs. After saving the lives of many, we will get you back to shore for the obligatory certification photo, and celebrations at the beachfront, sunset viewing bar! Congratulations on your master rescue diver certification!

I did the try dive and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The team makes everything to make it smooth and safe for the first-timers. I appreciated the time they took to explain every detail and ensure everyone is at ease. While the first dive is a little technical as you need to get used to the gear and technics, the second one is incredible! The reef so rich and beautiful. And I recommend take the photos too. Beautiful souvenir.
Gente súper bien preparada a nivel material, profesional y muy cercanos. El sitio de buceo esta brutal y el barco desde se hacen las inmersiones una gozada. Por otro lado creo q no hay muchos sitios donde te hablen español aparte del inglés y se agradece. Totalmente recomendable 👌
Wir haben mit La Bombona Diving unseren Explorer 30 (äquivalent zu Advanced Open Water) absolviert und sind überglücklich mit der Wahl der Tauchschule! Das ganze Team ist großartig und herzlich. Unser Tauchlehrer Armand hat alles bestens erklärt, gutes Feedback gegeben und dabei immer auf uns geachtet. Die Zertifizierung von RAID (Explorer 30) fanden wir persönlich qualitativ und technisch besser als die von PADI (Advanced Open Water). La Bombona Diving hat zudem ein eigenes kleines Schiff, damit waren wir flexibler mit den Tauchorten und es gab eine schöne familiäre Atmosphäre.
Ich hatte 10 Mega tolle Tauchgänge Sie planen die Abfahrzeiten und Tauchseiten nach den Gezeiten und starte früh am Morgen So hatten wir die Divesites fast immer für uns alleine und mit meist geringer Strömung. Da es nur ein kleines süßes Boot ist sind es nicht so viele Personen. Danke für die tolle Zeit

I booked a try dive with this operator and it was such a great time! We were a small group of three girls (for try dives they take max 4 people per trip) which was very comfortable. As we additionally booked their photographer we had two professionals with us. Both taught us a lot about diving and the marine life. Even thought we were beginners we could enjoy a real diving experience in the sea around lipe with two stops. I loved everything! Thank you for the amazing day.

Loved diving with La Bombona <3 I did two fun dives, my instructor Sergio and the whole staff were so sweet, helpful and professional. Boat was comfy, lunch was a great bonus, and the dive sites were innncredible – my best dive so far! Would’ve loved to dive more with them if I had more time, highly recommend
You need to hold the Explorer or Advanced certification, plus valid First Aid and Oxygen Administration certifications. Missing one of them? No problem — all the prerequisite training can be completed with us, and Day 1 of the course covers the First Aid & O2 package.
Yes — a valid First Aid certificate from a recognised provider is accepted. The Oxygen Administration part is diving-specific though, so most divers still complete the O2 training with us. If you only need O2, we'll adjust the schedule (and the price) accordingly — just let us know what you hold when you book.
It's the most active course we teach — you'll be towing divers, performing surface rescues and running realistic scenarios — but you don't need to be an athlete. You do need to be a competent swimmer, and we build the intensity up gradually so you're always working at the edge of your ability, not beyond it.
Yes — you need to be at least 15 years old to enrol in the Master Rescue course.
