About us · Gili Trawangan
The newest island in the La Bombona family — the same people-first diving we've run since 2014, now in Indonesia.
La Bombona Diving started on Koh Tao in 2014 with a simple idea: diving should feel personal, not like a production line. That meant small groups, instructors who remember your name, and training that goes beyond the minimums.
The idea worked. Koh Lipe followed, and now Gili Trawangan — our first island in Indonesia, and honestly, the one with the most turtles.
Bombona is Spanish for the tank on your back. It’s the first thing every diver carries and the last thing they think about once the diving gets good — which is exactly how equipment should be.
Safety without ceremony. High standards, small groups, well-maintained equipment — delivered with a laugh, not a lecture.
Training that exceeds minimums. Our Open Water certifies to 20 metres, not 18. Our rescue training is famously thorough. Cutting corners is someone else’s business model.
The ocean itself. Beach clean-ups, reef-safe practice, and briefings that treat marine life as hosts, not props. The turtles were here first.
Our Gili team is coming together ahead of opening — watch this space (or ask us on WhatsApp who’ll be teaching you).
